PRACTICAL SESSIONS ON CPR TECHNIQUES

 

The Municipal Assistance Service of Emergency and Rescue SAMUR-Civil ProtectionAbre Web externa en ventana nueva will be present once again at TifloInnova, with an Advanced Life Support ambulance unit that can be visited. 

Practical sessions aimed at acquiring basic assistance skills will be held, thanks to the successful adaptation of automatic external defibrillators and different teaching contents on how to perform CPR techniques (as recommended by the reference scientific societies) that enables a blind and visually impaired person to respond to emergency situations and perform basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) manoeuvres on a basis of equality with other community citizens. 

Advanced registration is not required.

The drawing will be held on Sunday, 19th November, at 13:00 h, when a ticket will be randomly taken out of the designated collection box where all participants have previously placed their entry forms.

AIR RAFFLE SHOOTING

 

If you want to take a break from your tour to the exciting world of TifloInnova 2017, visit the former swimming pool pavilion and test your skill in this air raffle shooting activity that combines ability, a steady hand and the most advanced technology that enables a blind or visually impaired person to aim for a bullseye and get the best results by using a conventional air rifle and a target.

Come ant try air rifle shooting and get an adrenaline rush!

PRESENTATION OF THE STANDARD UNE 71362:2017 QUALITY OF DIGITAL DIDACTIC MATERIAL

 

The purpose of this standard is to ensure that all digital learning materials delivered by educational centers in Spain are fully accessible to all in compliance with this norm.
This standard was created and developed by a research team composed of  university members (Carlos III, UNED and Complutense), private publishing houses, AENOR, the National Association of Publishers of Textbooks and Teaching Materials (ANELE) and the ONCE Directorate of Education, Employment and Cultural Promotion.

EDICO

 

Internal presentation of scientific editing software, developed by the Complutense University of Madrid in collaboration with the ONCE Education, Employment and Cultural Directorate and CIDAT, that helps blind and visually impaired people interact with digital scientific contents for the curriculum development in these subjects.

This software covers a full set of functionalities in the scientific environment, intended to share knowledge between blind and visually impaired persons and their sighted counterparts as interaction is possible by using Braille, speech and vision.  It allows editing and representing mathematics, physics and chemistry notations while providing a whole compendium of tools and/or didactic resources that make these subject areas easier to learn.

PRESENTATION OF BRAITICO:  DIDACTICS OF BRAILLE

 

Innovative, all-inclusive tool for braille learning, developed by ONCE.  Braitico is a new method to teach braille literacy, based on the manipulation of objects and the use of ICT in inclusive learning environments for children aged 0-12 or 14 years.

PRESENTATION OF MAPTAC 3D

 

The production of tactile maps for visually impaired persons is about to start a revolution by employing the latest 3D printing technologies and software tools such as MapTac 3D.

WORKSHOP ON ACCESSIBLE EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN SCRATCH

 

Scratch is a widely used programming tool as it is perfect to introduce kids to the elementary programming concepts thanks to its simple and intuitive operation.

In this session, we will inform on the basic recommendations and guidelines that must be taken into account in order to guarantee that all apps created in Scratch are accessible for visually impaired students.

 GYMKHANA "ALBRAILLE"

 

You can take part in a gymkhana to test your skills in the use of braille, identification of tactile maps, etc.

Participants in this gymkhana will receive a gift when they solve correctly two out of the four challenges implemented, that involve different abilities related to the use of braille, leisure, maps, technology, etc.
